Help: General Operation
The
operation of Meta Tag Maximizer can be split into several possible
functions :
Single Site
Single Site
Single
File, as the name suggests carries out word counting on a single
selected HTML File, it also includes attempted extraction of current
metatag information from the file, any data found is inserted into
the "General" settings. If the file contains information
within the <HEAD> Section that is not understood by Meta Tag
Maximizer, then during the Tag Creation, these unknown tags will be
included so that no information is lost.
Site / Folder
When Site
or Folder Checking is used, all HTML Files ( files with .HTM and
.HTML are included ) are analysed for their Word Counts and the
totals for the complete Site or Folder is shown. No information is
extracted for the General Information during this process.
The Site /
Folder Checking process is recursive, i.e. all folders below the one
selected will also be checked for HTML Files and any found will be
included in the word counts.
Tag Creation
Tags are
created from the information supplied.
You can
select Keywords for the site from the Word List and if you wish to,
you can save the Keyword list for later use again.
Any other
information you enter or select will be converted into the correct
format and added to the MetaTags that are created. When you have
created the tags, you can either Copy and Paste them manually into
the file, or alternatively Meta Tag Maximizer will replace the
Current <HEAD> Section with the generated one.
